Mea Culpa!

May 2, 2009 Harry Leave a comment

mea

Mea Culpa!, for I have completely ignored and abandoned this wonderful blog for months now. The truth is I have been vlogging and creating new channels on YouTube, notably one dedicated to the French Foreign Legion and the second one to armies in general. So I decided that it was time for a change (in the blog’s appearance), thus I have chosen this appealing theme which is simple and minimalistic, in other words very trendy. The problem that I was facing just before writing this post was, I was completely lost with the new backend template, seems that WordPress has been evolving during my absence…

Anyway from now on I solemnly declare that I will be blogging on a weekly basis, reporting mostly on IT, society, feminism (yuck!!!) and anything that might attract visitors to my free speech realm!! ;-)

iPod Nano the fourth

September 30, 2008 Harry Leave a comment

The ipod Nano is back with the 4th generation model!! An here are its features:

At the Apple Let’s Rock Event on September 9, 2008, the iPod nano 4th Generation was officially announced. It returns to the narrow form factor of the 2G model, while retaining and rotating the 2-inch (51 mm) screen from the 3G model. It is also thinner than both the 2G and 3G, measuring 90.7 mm (3.6 inches) tall by 38.7 mm (1.5 inches) wide by 6.2 mm (0.24 inch) thick, and weighing 36.8 grams (1.3 ounces). It has a curved aluminum shell and glass screen.

The six previous colors (silver, charcoal, mint, turquoise, berry red, and rose pink) have been replaced by silver, black, purple, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red, and pink. Apple markets the new colors as “nano-chromatic”. Also added is an accelerometer which allows the nano to switch between portrait and landscape display modes by just tilting the iPod left or right, shuffle songs when shaken, and access Cover Flow when tilted sideways. The UI has also been refreshed, adding a more stylized look in keeping with the new hardware design. It includes a new voice recording feature which starts automatically when an Apple compatible microphone is plugged in. It also includes the new “Genius” feature, introduced by Apple the same day. The Genius feature automatically creates playlists based on a selected song using an algorithm built by Apple.

It is additionally touted as “the most environmentally friendly iPod Apple has ever made”, containing arsenic-free glass and a BFR-, mercury-, and PVC-free design. It is also claimed to be highly recyclable. The iPod Nano 4G will be shipped in cases similar to the 2G ones with the clear view in the front, and is marketed in two models: 8 GB and 16 GB. limited quantities of an unannounced 4 GB models have surfaced in various markets.

It seems that Apple is constantly improving and turning the ipod Nano into a multimedia platform rather than just a mere MP3 player. Personally I’m still using the iPod Nano second generation which I am fully satisfied (at least for now) though I have tried the third generation which did not really trilled me despite its advanced features compared to the 2th G.

The truth behind the existence of feminism (1)

August 28, 2008 Harry Leave a comment

Since some 20 to 30 years ago, modern feminism has emerged in response to the so-called domination of the ‘monstrous’ men over the ‘poor’ women. Nowadays feminism has tremendously changed from its former ‘struggle’ but instead has turned into a totalitarian movement which does not recognized the true equality of men and women despite what they constantly say.

Feminism and Capitalism

Despite what have been said about feminism that – it is a ‘liberation’ and ‘emancipation’ movement for women, feminism is in fact a capitalism tool which government and capitalist lobby have understood a long time ago. Feminism is encouraged due to the economic potential that it generates for the government and the private sector. These potentials are listed as follows:

1. Governments in practically all modern especially western countries encourage feminism due to the fact that while women are employed they would generate incomes which would be taxed. This creates large revenue for countries which was forgone before feminism and women labour.

2. Women are cheaper than Men’. Before feminism, the private sector ‘used’ women to ‘scare’ male workers especially in the manufacturing sector that would go for strike whether for wage increase or for more flexible hours etc. As a response industrialist threaten to employ women for the same job at a lower wage rate. Nowadays this very same system is used to ‘scare’ workers of a country by their local industrialists, who threaten their employees to decentralize their activities in other countries like China, where salaries are extremely low.

3. While promoting feminism, governments are more or less having a control on birth rate due to the fact that more and more women are employed, thus the birth rate is constantly declining and moreover most feminist organizations are pro-abortion.

4. Women are encouraged to work simply because they are bigger consumers than men, thus, here again governments benefits from it in the form of Value Added Tax on articles bought. The private sector also benefits from this new consumerism attitude which boosts their sales and profits.

With these above mentioned facts, it is clear that feminism which I consider to be a form of ‘sex fascism’ have a bright future ahead. Make no mistake I’m not an anti-capitalism but I’m certainly explaining how a self-proclaimed emancipation ideology is being deviated and tolerated because of it’s economic potential. (to be continued)

P.s An analysis on Feminism and its collaterals will be published later on!!

Gross misbehaviour of an elderly woman

August 24, 2008 Harry 1 comment

Last week, more precisely on Friday at about 10.30 to 11.00, while I was waiting in a queue for the bus – the ‘navette’ (Mauritians will understand) at the Victoria bus station, an old lady suddenly went straight into the bus without even waiting for her turn. Immediately while seeing this, the controller of the bus went to her in order to make her wait for her turn, but as a response the old woman slapped the fellow with the astonishment of the other persons present.

As if it wasn’t enough the old woman started to insult the controller who acted as a gentleman by leaving her and continue to check the other person’s bus tickets. Having seen all the scene, the chief of the controller went into the bus and started to shout (not insult) at the old lady stating that she was uneducated and illiterate!!!

Personally I think that the chief of the station was right to shout at the old woman due to the fact that her attitude was shameful especially a person at this age who are supposed to be examples to the younger generation!!

7. You are driving on a dark and rainy night when you hydroplane on a puddle, sending your car careening toward a flimsy guard rail that separates you from the precipice of a rocky cliff and certain death. You frantically search for the “Back” button.

8. When every member in your family has an e-mail account on the mail server where you work.

9. You find yourself typing “com” after every period when using a word processor.com

10. When you shut down your router and get an awful sick feeling like someone you love just died.

11. When you come home late at night from reconfiguring the servers and your wife draped a blond wig over your monitor and tells you to marry this.

12. You refuse to speak to your parents until they get e-mail.

Coucoucircus.org

August 9, 2008 Harry 1 comment

We all remember the 70, 80 and 90’s Tv shows, series, mangas, cartoons etc. But do you still remember the opening music or soundtrack of each of them??? If no, you can visit coucoucircus.org which will provide you with practically all the Tv shows music you might have heard.

I personally have found on this interesting web database a lot of Tv series and mangas music which I used to sing while I was young. All these music have revived the kid in me and moreover you can find a section on the website dedicated to video games soundtrack!!! What can we ask for more except that they continue the good job :-)
